and with all my heart, I love you!
and with all my heart, I love you!
So much joy
&
So much fun
My sisters wedding was abosolutely perfect — as a wedding should be. I loved celebrating with the people I love.
My heart is bursting with love for these people.
How wonderful days off are. He had a full day and an half off this weekend. It was glorious. We went hiking after he got off work on Saturday than came home and made a delicious dinner. On Sunday, we slept in and we both woke up with the awesome idea of a big breakfast. So, after making a run to the store (still in our pjs I might add)we made chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, and coffee of course. Thank goodness he doesn’t drink coffee because I drink enough coffee for the two of us. The rest of the day, we layed around, watched movies, read and just enjoyed a lazy day together! The perfect end to a great Sunday - watching a new episode of Mad Men while husband slept beside me.
I can’t wait for the next weekend off; though I might have to wait awhile for it!
I like them! Words that is, mainly other peoples.
They always says perfectly and pointedly just what I long or wish I could articulate.
Truth that is beautifully written because it speaks to life, death, and pain so well.
So, here are another’s wise words.
Thank God, then, if you have been led by a rough road: it is this which has given you your experience of God’s greatness and lovingkindness. Your troubles have enriched you with a wealth of knowledge to be gained by no other means.”
C. H. Spurgeon
Words…

Irritated.
But, not over anything of real importance.
Learning to save my irritation and frustration for the things that really matter
and NOT give it away so freely on things like….
A messy room
unmet expectations
lack of sleep
Starbucks customers
"The motive is not self-reformation or success in interpersonal relationships. The motive is to know the Lord."
- David Powlison
Sundays and Psalms just seem to go together.
It’s like a warm blanket on a cold night or
that perfect song on a late Summer’s drive
or a great cup of coffee shared with a favorite person.
It’s like a good hug when you need want it the most
It’s like the loud, and sometimes unwanted, buzz of the morning alarm calling you to come awake.
The book of Psalms is comforting, challenging, and refreshing all in the same breath - and I love it!
It’s both familiar and new.
For me, the book of Psalms is the truth I need in any situation. When I am rejoicing, delighting, crying, hurting, loving, struggling, living; Psalms is the messy, neat, and poetic reminder that Christ alone is my Redeemer, Hope, and Guide.
“You have turned for me my mourning intodancing;
you have loosed my sackcloth
and clothed me with gladness, that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to you forever!”
